Simple Hotel in Unbeatable location

The location is unbeatable, very close to restaurants and stores as well as the port area.

Lack of electrical sockets. No hair conditioner (only shampoo and body soap).

Excellent location but be prepared for a small room.

The location is perfect, staff is nice, rooms are clean.

The room was really small, the double bed can barely fit 2 people and the bathroom is miniature too.

Almost everything! Great location, close to amenities and transport.

The bed and pillow were quite tough.

Good

The staff was really nice and apologetic while they sorted out my reservation. The location is good, a short walk from a shopping area and a tram stop. The view from my room was excellent as I could see Sakurajima.

First time I had a problem with the reservation, I booked through booking.com but it did not show on their system. I had to wait at the front desk while they sorted everything out. The room decor was really basic as was the bathroom. There was no electric outlet near the bed, the only ones I could find where next to the door and behind the TV.

Fantastic location! It's just a 15-minute wall to the waterfront. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was basic and had a small TV.

The bed wasn't very comfortable.

Between 2 Train Stations...

The location is central in Kagoshima - as the name suggests - and this is roughly halfway between both of Kagoshima's train stations; I liked that coffee and tea sachets (as well as other amenities) were made readily available; check out = 11am; I was happy that the window opened (unlike many in Japan) to allow some fresh air in; I could see Sakurajima from the window - although that did require turning my head...

The bathroom was very small which made having a shower uncomfortable (shower curtain sticking to you) and having a bath even more so; the fridge was small; there was bad lighting in the room - no way to dim the harsh overhead light; there was a wire network covering the window; only 2 (clothes) hangers in the room...

For the budget traveller

The room was clean, reasonably modern and great for the price. The Hotel is also located near some great streets for dining and drinking. Perfect location and a 15-20 minute hike to Shiroyama Park.

The bathroom/toilet was about as small as they come. I wouldn’t recommend it for a large person or someone wanting to spend much time in the hotel room.

Wonderful

Very good value for money, especially for solo travellers. It has everything you need for a couple of nights stay. The view from the rooms is great, bedding nice, everything is useful, the staff is really nice and helpful. Location is great! You can clean your clothes, the breakfast is great (I would recommend it for one morning and then try the surrounding restaurants). Wifi is free. I booked for one night and extended to four nights!

Not much. The shower head was not great, I would highly recommend changing it and adding hair treatment (important for long-haired customers ;)
